À MOI SS 2016 presentation held in Industira Studio this morning. Unlike inspiration of ancestral past last year, New Collection inspired from planet Mercury and its dynamic movements. This season Alejandra Alonso connected the planet’s captivating physical properties with the freedom of imagination and childlike innocence from her favorite childhood book The Little Prince.

 À MOI new collection is endowed with a lighthearted, uplifting and inventive spirit. From a child’s perspective, Alonso chooses blues, yellows and pinks, and performs a layered transparent fabrics and degradation. Thus, it’s named Retrograde.


Alonso is a Spanish designer. She Learned at Central St. Martin’s (London), Parsons School of Design (New York) and the Sorbonne (Paris). She moved from Madrid to New York and worked at Anna Sui and Nicholas K, then she founded À MOI in 2014.

Combined artistry and function, her designs are known for its flawless execution and artisanal edge. Implementing traditional and experimental knitting technology, Alonso’s collection are made of the finest fabric in Italy and Japan, Completing in New York.
